Competition Description:
Bot Blast is back in Bloomsburg, PA on Saturday July 18, 2015... Columbia Mall and Dreadfully Wicked Robots present our 8th annual insectweight combat robot tournament. The event takes place at the center of the Columbia Mall just off I-80 in Bloomsburg, PA.

Trophies, plaques, and great prizes for the top 3 in each class, including the "Golden Light Tree" Championship Trophy to each class champion. Plus special awards for Best Engineered Robot, Coolest Robot, Best Driver, and Sportsmanship Award. Awards also for the rumble winner in each weight class.

Bot Blast uses a modified SPARC ruleset. Please visit the Bot Blast website " Rules Page for a detailed ruleset. Email event operator Jeremy Campbell for any questions regarding the rules.

The Columbia Mall is just off Interstate-80 Exit 232 (Buckhorn/Bloomsburg Exit) in Bloomsburg, PA. Address is: 225 Columbia Mall Dr, Bloomsburg PA 17815. We will be located in the center of the mall, in front of JCPenney.

8:00am: Doors open & check-in begins
10:45am: Mandatory meeting
11:00am: National Anthem - Fights Begin
**Builders- Robots MUST be through Safety/weigh-in before 10:45am or they will not be able to compete... arrive early!**
Event should be finished by 7pm
Awards Presentation immediately after the finals
Please stick around afterward if possible to help clean up and take down the arena

$25 per robot (all weight classes). Fees will be collected at the event check-in table. Cash or check. Please do not send payment before the event.

10 ft x 10 ft square, 6 ft tall, steel framed with with 1/4" lexan walls and roof. Steel bumpers. Wood floor. No pits/push-outs/hazards.

The pit area is closed off from the general public. Any builder who enters the pit area must sign a release of liability. Everyone entering the pit area must sign one when your team arrives at the check-in table. All competitors or crew members under age 18 must also have their waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.
