NTBB February Battle! (Fairy, Ant, PlAnt, Beetle)

Event Description

NTBB Arena can support Fairy-, Ant-, and Beetle- weight with no kinetic or cutting weapons. UTD Arena can support Combat Fairy’s and Plastic Ants with weapons. Plenty of power outlets and inside. Building will be available for set-up at 2:30 pm with event starting at 3:00 pm.

Safety and registration opens at 2:30 am. Fights will begin at 3 pm. There will be power outlets. Standard SPARC rules will apply http://sparc.tools/

Safety and registration opens at 9:30 am. Fights will begin at 10 am. NTBB Arena is 4x4 open-air with 1/4in thick, 8in tall polycarbonate walls. All bots will fight in a round robin style tournament unless otherwise determined on-site. Standard SPARC rules will apply http://sparc.tools/

Release and Waiver of Liability for Robot Combat Competition

I, [participant’s name]___________________________________________________________, hereby acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in the robot combat competition (“North Texas Bot Battles”) held at the Fort Worth Police Department North Headquarters Riverside Community Room (8755 N Riverside Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76244 ) on February 10, 2024. As a condition of my participation, I hereby agree to release and waive any and all claims against the North Texas Bot Battles group and Fort Worth Police Department, its officers, employees, and agents, and any other parties affiliated with the Competition, including without limitation sponsors, volunteers, judges, and vendors (collectively, the “Released Parties”).

I understand that the Competition involves the use of robots and equipment that may cause injury or harm to myself or others, including but not limited to cuts, bruises, broken bones, or other serious injuries. I agree to assume all risks associated with my participation in the Competition, including the risk of death, and I acknowledge that the Competition involves physical activity that may be strenuous and dangerous.

I hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all claims for damages, injuries, or losses arising from my participation in the Competition, including any claims for negligence or breach of warranty without limitation. I understand that this waiver and release extends to all claims, whether known or unknown, arising from my participation in the Competition, including any claims that may arise in the future.

I agree to indemnify and hold the Released Parties harmless from any claims, actions, suits, demands, or liabilities of any kind or nature whatsoever, including reasonable attorney fees and expenses arising out of or related to my participation in the Competition.

I understand that this release and waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the state in which the Competition is held and that if any portion of this release and waiver is held invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

I have read this release and waiver of liability and fully understand its terms and significance.

Registration acknowledges agreement with this document voluntarily and of my own free will.
