Event Description
Robot Conflict at Motorama is back again to smash, bash and trash those winter blues away! Warm up to the heated double elimination competition as 7 different weight classes compete until there can be only one victor. Who will take the titles this year? Find out by braving the Polar Vortex and come out to the Motorama show in Harrisburg, PA. Witness one of the largest combat robotics competitions around. Robot Conflict is open to International competitors, and we traditionally welcome several Canadian builders.
Now in its 27th year, Robot Conflict is the longest-running, old-school style combat robotics tournament anywhere. The tournament is run by seasoned vets, many from Battlebots teams. The arena used for the12lb and 30lb fights has grandstand-style seating for fans. The vibe among competitors? Summer camp reunion meets intense, "look what I brought" one-upmanship.
This unique tournament is part of a massive All Things Moto event. (BMX racing, karting, rc cars, antique car show, monster trucks, etc.) The food onsite is features decent carnival fare, with some standouts: chicken tenders, hot-pockets, and legendary milk shakes.
SCHEDULE:
Friday, February 14 - 10am - 5pm -- Fairy(150g) and Antweight(1lb) One-Day Tournament
(Note: The fairy and ant tournament is not listed on the main Robot Conflict Motorama page because it takes place during the load-in day -- but registration for it is available in a drop-down menu once you start the process.)
Saturday, February 15, 9am - 10pm and Sunday, February 16, 9am - 5pm -- Robot Conflict Two-Day Tournament
Weight Classes: Beetleweight (3lb), Featherweight (12lb), Hobbyweight (30lb), Sportsman (30lb), These Robots Suck (DIY special rules class - see NERC Facebook page)
REGISTRATION
All competitors must register through the Motorama site. Registration is $65 for the first weight class, $45 for each additional weight class entered. Your registration includes one weekend pass for the competittor, pit table and electric.
Register all the additional members of your team (and/or family) at the time of your bot registration so they can receive participant passes and enter the show early (at 8am) with you. All general admission passes are for 9:00am entry.
Also, it is recommended that you purchase a $20 Particpant Weekend Parking Pass at the time of your registration. (See more on parking below.)
Registration is now open and space may be limited in some weight classes, so make your plans now. We want to see you there!
PARKING:
We suggest you purchase an advanced participant parking pass which gains you quick access into the venue's general parking lots for single space vehicle parking. Be sure to display your parking pass when arriving Saturday and Sunday so staff knows you are a prepaid participant. If you bring more than a single vehicle, you must purchase an off-site Elmerton Lot or Reserved Lot space when registering. Please note that after 8:30am there is no guaranteed access to the on-site lot due to the large volume of traffic, you may be directed to an alternate lot and bussed over.
Important Event Information: After completion of your entry, go back to the registration page for participant information, download and print maps and lodging information before coming to Harrisburg. It could make your Motorama visit less stressful.
