Penguicon 2018 Robo-Melee

Event Description

Penguicon 2018 Robo-Melee is a 12Lb-Only, Tabletop robot sumo event held at Penguicon 2018, in the style of DragonCon Robot Battles. Fights will occur in a round-robin format, and a pit area will be available.

Penguicon is a non-profit, community-run convention for open source software and hardware, science fiction, gaming, DIY, and more. It is held at the The Westin Southfield Detroit, at 500 Town Center, Southfield, MI 48075, USA. Event room location is TBD.

In addition to entered robots on BuildersDB, there are already 4-5 committed entrants from General Motor's internal 12Lb sumo event.


Registration is free, however Saturday admittance to the convention for robot builders is $40, to be paid at the convention badging desk

Our event will be utilizing the Robot Battles ruleset for tabletop robot design and match organization.
