Event Description
Nor'easter returns for 150g fairyweight tournament number six! Holy crap! We just keep doing stuff - it never stops!
We have been invited to the HQ of Netco Electric in Moncton - longtime fans and supporters of ours (and biased towards Team Hobgoblin but we won't hold that against them) - for a tournament on the grounds of their new office building in the industrial park. This tournament is being sponsored by Netco and we are graciously accepting their offer of the space for us to do our robot carnage thing!
Specific times TBD, but will likely be our usually early-afternoon to late-afternoon/early evening affair. As usual, we will do following the double-elimination format for full-combat 150g fairyweights - if you participated in our events before, you know what to expect by now!
We MAY even be looking at taking our arena OUTDOORS to their big parking lot in the back, we may have access to a tent - but these are all details that will be sorted out in the weeks to come. If not, there is a large conference style room that can accomodate our builders (just fewer fans!) so we will look careful at the weather, the location and see what we can do for capacity.
So builders get ready - registration will be open until end-of-day Friday, September 11. We will open registration for 12 fairyweight machines for now and see how things go - if this event because way popular, we'll open some extra spots. Any builders who want a bot to go on a waitlist right off the bat, just let me know!
Free venue means fewer expenses, and Nor'easter is passing the savings on to you! I will only be asking a straight $10 per robot. This is the same pricing structure we had at our last free venue at Resurgo.
