Event Description
We're back again for tournament no. 4! Hot on the heels of our hugely successful tournament at Gunningsville Court, NOR'EASTER is ready to go again for a small showcase tournament at a venue that has been on my wishlist since day 1: Resurgo Place in Moncton.
Resurgo is the city's beautiful transportation museum, and we've come to find out that the leadership team there are... big fans of robot combat. They heard about us and have offered up their Discover Centre for a late-afternoon-until-early-evening showcase (exact time TBD, expect something like 4pm-8pm) as part of their community outreach program - and we couldn't say no. Because of the smaller format, registration fees will be cut too - with us asking for a straight $10 per robot. Keeping it simple.
While space and time will be much more limited than the freedom we enjoyed at Gunningsville, we're going to try to make the best of an unmissable opportunity to fight our machines under the absolutely beautiful architecture of one of the city's most beautiful buildings. The Discovery centre, designed to ressemble a train's cow-catcher, showcases floor to ceiling windows and just a stunning location to turn into our centre stage to fight our little 150g hellions.
We are going to limit registration to 8 robots maximum plus wait/reserve list due to the time constraints (you can still register machines, but extras will count towards a reserve/waitlist in case of last minute withdrawals) - so get those registrations in early (first come, first serve - after that, bots will be placed on a waiting list) and don't miss a chance to fight on one of Moncton's coolest stages. We are going to really lean heavily into the train theme here, and we have lots of really fun surprises to mark this truly special event - the Rumble at Resurgo!
Stay tuned!
